RDPT JEJU 2025 | Baby Dragon Day 1A Recap: 117 Entries Mark a Fiery Start

As we officially step into May, the excitement of RDPT JEJU 2025 kicks into full gear with a thrilling 10-day tournament

The familiar battleground of Landing Casino at Jeju Shinhwa World once again sets the stage for poker enthusiasts, where the coveted champion’s trophies gleams at the entrance — a symbol of glory every player hopes to lift. Behind it, the tournament hall is locked and loaded, ready for a new wave of players to rise and make their mark.

On May 1, the spotlight fell on the opening flight of the Baby Dragon Day 1/A, officially marking the grand entrance of this year’s series. Players from all over the world gathered under one roof, with several well-known pros joining the field to kick things off strong. Familiar faces battled it out at every table, all hungry for momentum.

Running from 3:00 PM to 1:00 AM (UTC+9), the action was relentless. As the bubble approached with 18 spots paid, pressure mounted — especially for the short stacks. At Level 18 (Blinds: 4K/8K/8K), we saw a dramatic hand that brought the bubble to a close. From the BTN, Tang Hui took a deep breath and shoved his 353,000 stack all-in. In the SB, Li Lei made the call with 214,000 chips. The BB folded, and the two went heads-up for the bubble.
Tang Hui: A♥ 7♥
Li Lei: K♥ K♦
With a crowd forming around the table, the flop came out 2♥ 5♣, giving Tang Hui top pair and a sudden lead. The turn 2♣ and river 8♣ brought no help to Li Lei, and he was eliminated as the unfortunate bubble boy.

Registration for Day 1A closed with a total of 117 entries, and after bursting the bubble, 18 players advanced to Day 2. Tang Hui not only secured the knockout in the final hand but also bagged the chip lead with 587,000, becoming the CL of Baby Dragon Day 1A.

The hunt for the trophy has officially begun — and we’re just getting started.
